Randa Stringer VIEW PROFILE

How does one sum up a beautiful life in just a few short words? Such is the dilemma in writing this obituary for our beautiful, beloved daughter and sister, Randa Delene Stringer, who passed from this earthly life into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Randa was born in Alvin, Texas on February 15, 1977 as the firstborn child to parents, James Toby Stringer and Sue Rowell Stringer. She attended Alvin schools, graduating with High Honors in May 1995. She attended the University of Texas, Austin and graduated with a BS in Photo Journalism. She fell in love with the sights and sounds of Austin, so she stayed and lived the remainder of her life there doing what she loved most…creating! As an exceptionally good writer and photographer, Randa was able to combine those two skills into a very successful marketing career. She created award winning designs for Bury Partners, Commercial Texas, KWRI, and Jacobs Engineering. She handled company branding, digital & print designs, industry proposals, and was the visionary liaison between clients and the marketing team. Additionally, in 2009, she started freelance design and collaboration work as RDS Strategy & Design.

Randa’s infectious personality made anyone who knew her fall instantly in love with her. She was definitely a fashionista and could wear just about anything and look adorable! Because of her appreciation for life and family, she saw beauty hiding in the most unique places through the lenses of her camera. She absolutely adored her animals: Reese, Ophelia, and Harriet. One of her favorite places to visit was Stringer, MS where both sets of her grandparents lived. Needless to say, this city girl learned all about picking and shelling peas & shucking corn, playing in the hay while avoiding cow patties, and feeding the pigs! Some of her favorite foods were grits & eggs, figs, mountain oysters, and everything Thanksgiving! She loved traveling, hiking and listening to live music. Randa always looked for the positive things in life that would motivate her to push forward through times of struggle. Her laughter was contagious, and you would find yourself so easily smiling or laughing with her.

Randa was preceded in death by her grandparents: James H & Bettye Stringer and Clyde & Bertha Rowell. She is survived by her parents and two sisters: Brooke Stringer and Rian Spellman (Christopher). She was without a doubt the best Auntie to Jeremy Solis, Jessalyne Perkins, Kaid Perkins, Kian Spellman and Liam Spellman. She was often determined to be better than Santa to these precious little ones! She also leaves a host of family and friends from both near and far.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Randa at The High Road on Dawson in Austin TX. A time and date will be announced in the future. (Austin is still not open after the COVID shutdown) The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations should be made to Rainbow Omega, 100 Hope Dr, Eastaboga, AL 36260 – home to our sweet Jill and other special needs adults.
